Turning innovative ideas into real-world impact is one of the biggest challenges facing the transition to net zero. At Tyseley Energy Park, we’re addressing that challenge head on by creating an environment where low-carbon technologies can move beyond concept and into commercial reality.
Through our approach to innovate, incubate, demonstrate, and accommodate, we support businesses at every stage of their journey. Let’s look at how we do that.
Innovate
Our site is the home to world-leading technology, bringing together pioneering clean energy systems, advanced materials innovation and real-world demonstrators that are shaping the future of low-carbon industry.
Set within an industrial environment, it provides a unique platform where ideas can be tested, refined and scaled in real-world conditions.
From early-stage testing of innovative concepts to tailored incubation programmes and full-scale commercial demonstrators, we offer a range of support aligned to the maturity of a business and the readiness of its technology.
By connecting organisations with infrastructure, expertise, and a strong network across industry, academia, and the public sector, we help turn ambition into viable, investment-ready solutions that can deliver real impact.
Incubate

Our onsite community here at Tyseley Energy Park has access to a growing network of innovators across clean energy, waste, transport and circular economy sectors, as well as external incubation programmes.
The NatWest Accelerator is a UK-wide programme designed to support entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses to scale. It provides access to expert coaching, mentoring, funding opportunities and a network of like-minded founders, alongside workshops and events delivered both online and through physical hubs.
By bringing together businesses, investors and industry expertise, the programme helps companies unlock growth, enter new markets and build the skills needed to succeed.
As a new partner, we are helping extend this support into the clean energy and innovation space, connecting accelerator businesses with real-world infrastructure, industry collaboration and opportunities to scale low-carbon solutions.
In March, the NatWest Accelerator team hosted its first event onsite at Tyseley Energy Park. Businesses, innovators, and industry experts were brought together (online and in-person) to explore the economics around the UK’s clean energy transition.
This was an excellent demonstration of the power of a relationship with an incubation programme like NatWest Accelerator has, offering local businesses the opportunity to learn and be part of a vibrant cleantech community.
Demonstrate

Beyond technology and infrastructure, Tyseley Energy Park anchors growth within the local area, supporting the West Midlands’ broader ambition for connected and sustainable development.
It is here that our collective comes together to demonstrate how clean energy can drive regeneration in practice: creating opportunities for local communities while delivering inclusive, long-term benefits through industrial growth.
So far, we’ve hosted three roundtable events onsite at Tyseley Energy Park, bringing together stakeholders, onsite members, local businesses, and key industry leaders.
The first event of this type saw the Mayor of the West Midlands, Richard Parker, visit the site alongside Councillor Zafar Iqbal, Ward Councillor for Tyseley and Hay Mills.
These events offer the opportunity for cross-sector collaboration, allowing industry leaders across clean energy, waste, transport, and the circular economy to meet with academics and policymakers.
We also make sure that we uphold our strong commitment to the community that surrounds our site. From hosting community days where local habitants can access the expertise of our onsite members, to ensuring that local community groups have a venue to meet, we strive to support the wider world that exist outside of our ecosystem
Accommodate

Our site is home to more than 20 clean energy and technology innovation organisations and we’re proud to offer access to clean energy and state-of-the art green tech infrastructure.
Want to join us onsite? We’re pleased to share that one of our recently refurbished industrial units has become available to let.
Whether you’re an existing business on site looking to expand operations, or a new clean-tech organisation looking to join our ecosystem, this is a great opportunity to be part of our growing community.
